week 10 – ‘governing’ with data continues
Welcome to week 10 everyone, and the second part of our explorations of ‘governing’ with data in education. Excellent work everyone with the ‘Tweetorial’ last week – so many insightful comments, examples, and ideas shared! The #msccde hashtag is certainly shaping up to be a useful resource in itself.
Head over the to the week 10 page for a reminder of the activities. Alongside the core tasks of continuing your reading and producing your data visualisations, we also have a ‘visualise some public data’ optional task. Even if you decide not to produce any visualisation work for this task, we really do recommend that you check out the two examples of public data sources (HESA and OECD – see the week 10 page for links) – these will give you some useful insights about the kind of data collected and used at the ‘policy level’.
Have a great week everyone!
